Kilvarock Gardens

Founder-member Kilravock Garden is an intriguing coastal garden containing many hundreds of plants from the Southern hemisphere and Asia.

Kilravock 3

Shaped like an ice-cream cone and situated directly by the sea with extensive views over Dunmanus Bay, Kilravock Garden (1.7 acres) is a moody Robinsonian-style coastal garden featuring a very large range of exotic shrubs and trees and selected native products that thrive in the relatively mild microclimate there.  A vast number of plants from all over the globe are to be found in different, contrasting zones, for example the Mediterranean Garden, the Woodlands Garden and the Southern Hemisphere Walk.

For gardening aficionados there are intriguing collections of restios (South Africa), sorbus, acers, tree ferns and camellias.  Come and explore at your leisure.  Time permitting, I will be glad to give you a tour, if you so wish.  If you, however, prefer to discover things alone, I will provide you with a guide map.
